About Me

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field.

My career has taken me through private practice, community mental health, hospital social work, school-based counseling, crisis work, and suicide prevention. I also served as Executive Director, where I helped lead suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention efforts in the community.

Those experiences have shaped the way I think about therapy, emotional health, and what actually helps people create change in their daily lives. I’ve sat with people in some of the hardest moments of their lives, and I’ve also seen how much can shift when someone finally has the language, support, and tools to understand themselves more clearly.

My clinical background includes individual, group, and family therapy, along with training and experience in CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, crisis intervention, grief and loss counseling, and suicide prevention.

Over time, my work has expanded beyond the therapy room into writing, speaking, consulting, and mental health education. I care deeply about making mental health tools feel clear, practical, and connected to real life, so people can better understand what they are experiencing and feel less alone in it.

At the center of my work is a simple belief: you do not have to become a completely different person to feel more connected to yourself. Often, meaningful change begins by noticing the thoughts, habits, and emotional responses that have been running in the background, then practicing new ways of relating to yourself, your relationships, and what matters most.

Outside of my work, I’m happiest being outside, in the mountains or by the ocean when I can be, spending time with family and friends, and finding small moments that make life feel lighter.
